This is a partial set of four (4) pieces from the Streets of Old
Hong Kong series, Set No. HK019G The
Lion Dance (Gloss Finish), by King & Country. The lot includes the
following: two dancers wearing a Lion Dance costume during Chinese New Year
celebration; a cymbals player (missing one hand and cymbal); a large Chinese
drum; and a base (table) for the drum. The set was first produced in 1995. Note: the set was played with and shows
signs of use.
King & Country (K&C) models are 1:30 scale figures made in
the style of new toy soldiers. K&C sets represent World War II (Europe,
North Africa, and the Pacific), The Age of Napoleon, The American Revolutionary
War, Roman Army of Julius Caesar, The Life of Jesus, and In the Time of the
Pharaoh. K&C models have been produced since 1984 by two expatriate Scots,
Andy C. Neilson and Laura McAllister, in Hong Kong.
