Midcentury FANTONI Era ITALIAN Pottery & Leather PIPE STAND Raymor
Terrific vintage 5.25” long and 3.25” tall Italian ceramic wrapped in leather pipe stand. With a hand painted modernist decoration to ceramic, these are often attributed to Marcello Fantoni, however there is no documetaion to support the attribution. Stamp mark Made in Italy to base and likely imported into the US by “Modern in Good Taste” Raymor or Rosenthal Netter. Fresh from a fine old Denver estate, and offered with No Reserve.
Aside from a spot of loss to the leather cover under the base, condition is very good overall showing light use and light water spotting to the leather.
