*NEW* Lead free pewter alloy NL7 made up of pure tin, antimony, bismuth and copper . Bar weight, 6+ pounds.
*This alloy meets and exceeds ASTM F2923 - 11 standard for toxic metals in casting alloy for children.
NL7 casting alloy.
Made with Tin, Antimony, Bismuth and Copper. Combines the pliability of our MPK alloy while allowing us to lower the cost to you by replacing the silver with antimony. Still high enough in tin to give you a beautiful casting and close to mirror like luster finish when highly polished. And not as hard or brittle as our 92-8 maybe for some of you.
Melting liquidus / solidus 428/446 F and a casting temperature of 500/600 degrees F.
Our high performance alloys provide trouble free, smooth flow results for the caster.

We are a pewter alloying company, having a combined alloying and technical experience of over 70 years.

Our other lead free alloys are MPK and 92-8. The make up of 92-8 is the original ASTM standard for pewter alloy and has a liquidus / solidus of 455 to 475 and a casting range of between 500/600 degrees F. Our other very popular alloy, MPK has a liquidus / solidus of 428/446 and a casting temperature of 500/600 degrees F. What makes MPK very attractive to most of our customers is that MPK has silver in the alloy, which gives you a very bright casting when tubbed or polished. MPK is also antimony free which makes it more pliable than 92-8. MPK will run about 40 to 50 ppm in lead and NL7 will run the same. Either alloy works well in either silicone or vulcanized rubber, sand and bronze molds. Some customers tell me that they even cast into plaster. Both metals run approximately .27 pounds per cubic inch. Bars weight between 6 and 7 pounds per bar. BAR MAY BE CUT FOR SHIPPING PURPOSES.
