PUTS A STOP TO THAT LEAKY OIL FILLER CAP FOREVER!!

Driving a vintage VW is great! Of course, the more you drive it, the more you wear everything out. One of the first things that tends to give up the ghost is the various gaskets and seals in the engine and one of the most common ones is the oil filler cap gasket. The originals were made from a cork / rubber combination that works fine but usually needs replaced after a few years. Our new silicone gasket, however, will pretty much last as long as your VW and can be reused over and over again! Made from AMS 3304 Silicone, it's designed for a temperature range of -85°F to 401°F and is highly resistant to deterioration from contact with motor oil which guarantees a nice long life as an oil filler cap gasket. Please note - even though this will fit some years of gas caps it should not be used in that application as silicone swells in contact with gas.
Do it once - do it right!

Fits all stock late 36hp-1600cc gas caps. This will not fit most non-stock aftermarket caps or any FI-style caps.
