Commuter Trains of the 21st Century #1 - Class 67s
The first title in a four-part series looking at commuter trains across the UK features the Class 67 hauled trains.

Originally built to haul mail trains, latterly found working charter and sleeper trains, the class 67 locomotive has had a chequered history but in the last few years, thanks to DMU shortages, the locos have taken on a new role - hauling commuter trains.

Operated by three different train companies, in three very different parts of the country and wearing (at least) three different liveries, the class 67 now has daily booked passenger work, primarily taking commuters to and from work.

Working out of Marylebone (Chiltern), Holyhead (Arriva Wales) and Edinburgh (Scotrail) this programme takes a detailed look at the current operations of the class 67 hauled passenger trains.

A fine selection of run-past shots are accompanied by features on the coaches used, the diagrams, ECS moves, overnight stabling, all wrapped up with maps and other trivia.

This title will be released on 16th September 2013. Part Two in the commuter trains series will be released in November 2013.

The DVD is £16.95, or if you prefer you can select the Blu-ray format at £19.95. Please note you will need a Blu-ray player or PlayStation 3 to play a Blu-ray disc.
