Rare antique Wedgwood tricolor (black & yellow) jasperware large Biscuit Barrel (Jar) with silver-plated rim, handle, and cover (marked); and white "The Dipping of Achilles" and "Venus Hiding Cupids Arrows" relief separated by floral festoons terminating at ram's heads, and additional white ornament at the barrel top.  It is in excellent used condition without cracks, chips, repairs, etc.; only age appropriate ware (e.g., minor scratches and some inside stain).  Please review the posted pics for more details and let us know if you'd like to see more.  Questions are encouraged and welcome. 

Barrel has an unusual shape and looks very attractive.

Dimensions: top/bottom Dia=4 1/4" / 4", W(Dia)=5 1/4", H=6 1/4" (barrel), 7" (with lid), and 10 1/2" (with handle).

Barrel is marked: "WEDGWOOD", and some other potter marks; we believe it was manufacture during the 1860-1880 period, c.1870.
