This Skipping Rope is hand made from genuine old Weaving Bobbins that used to hold the fine yarns once used in the Mill Looms. The rope is old-fashioned Plaited Jute, once popular as window sash cord in Victorian houses.

In creating this skipping rope the bobbin has not been damaged in any way.  It is supplied with a little leaflet giving some of the history of these bobbins.

I have fewer of the larger bobbins, as seen in the picture, remaining.  Orders of one rope will receive the thinner ones but orders of more than one rope can receive one with the fatter bobbins by request, although the numbers supplied may still be limited.  Please advise me if an extra long rope is required for a particularly tall person.  Normally the ropes are around 9ft in length.  There is no additional charge. Extremely long ropes may incur an additional charge - please ask.

For previous and repeat customers I have an apology!  I have kept the price of these ropes down for a long time and have just had to buy more rope at an eyewateringly high cost, so have had to put the price up.
