1786 ORIGINAL ANTIQUE COPPER PLATE MAP DURHAM - THOMAS KITCHIN - GOOD CONDITION

An antique county map of Durham by Thomas Kitchin which appeared in Boswell's Historical Descriptions of New and Elegant Picturesque Views of the Antiquities of England and Wales. Shows the Arms of Durham. Published under the inspection of Henry Boswell in 1786. Printed for Alex Hogg ( a reprint of Kitchin's map published in the London Magazine (1747).

Full size atlas page,  very wide margins,  light foxing and creasing to extremities, good plate impression, no folds or colouring as issued, decorate cartouche and engraving of the Arms of Durham.

Sheet size 38.3cm x 24cm approx (will be posted carefully rolled).
