Vintage Original NIKON NIPPON KOGAKU Brown Leather Lens Case sized for moderate telephoto Lenses, like the 180mm Nikkor H, made by Nippon Kogaku in Tokyo, Japan, probably in the late 1950's. 

A very nice case, lightly used.  Traditional dark purple velveteen lining. Thick 1/2" padding on the bottom to hold the lens in place, no padding elsewhere. Adjustable matching brown leather shoulder strap attached to metal lugs.

Stamped with the "Nippon Kogaku Tokyo" logo on the lid, and "Japan" on the side near the leather "hinge". 

Outside dimensions: 5 1/2" high x 3" diameter

Inside dimensions: about 4 3/8 " high x 2 1/2" diameter.

Excellent used condition.  A few very minor scuffs, hinge leather and snap show some opening wear, strap has light wear from storage.  As nice a one as you're likely to find.
