Macro Extension Tube Ring for SONY E- Mount 

Description:

·  It moves the lens farther from the film or digital sensor. The farther away the lens is, the closer the focus, the greater the magnification.

·  This extension tube does not affect image quality as there is no optics inside. In comparison, a close up filters are often blamed for degrading image quality.

This is a Manual Tubes adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication

           with the camera body (auto-focus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.

This extension tube consists of 5 parts:

  1. ·  Camera Body Mount Adapter
  2.  Lens Mount Adapter
  3. 7mm tube (Tube 1)
  4. 14mm tube (Tube 2)
  5. 28mm tube (Tube 3)

The more tubes you add, the closer the focus and the greater the magnification.

NOTE:

There are no electrical contacts in the extension tubes.

Exposure has to be adjusted manually. Aperture control is not available if you use a lens which does not allow you to manually adjust the aperture (without an aperture ring).

• If you cannot focus on the subject, it is possible that you have too many tube sections in place, which is putting the focus plane within the lens itself. Start with just the lens and body mount and add the tubes in starting with the smallest first until you get the magnification and focus range you are looking for.

• This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.

• 'Focus-By-Wire' lenses (such as Canon's STM or Nikons AF-P) requires power to engage the manual focus rings on the lens, since manual lens mount adapters do not power the lens, those lenses will not be able to focus.

• Set your exposure manually or meter using your camera's Aperture Priority (stop-down) mode.

• If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, the lens aperture will revert to its default position, which depending on the lens is either stopped down to its largest f-stop or opened up to its smallest f-stop.
