 PEACE ACTIVISTS' BUTTON

1 3/4" with lock pin - Made in the USA

CHILDREN FOR

WORLDWIDE PEACE

On September 21, 1981, the International Day of Peace was established

by the United Nations General Assembly to coincide with the yearly U.N. opening

session.  The day is supposed to be a day of global ceasefire and a worldwide

minute of silence at 12 noon (local time).

This historic button was worn at anti-war events around the country

which included many school kids and families with kids.

From the collection of Larry Fox, "The Button Man" (Member: A.P.I.C.)
