HOWDY! This 6" x 6" Heat Treated Copper over sized double rocker switch plate, complete with copper colored screws, is totally unique. Inspired by the natural beauty, wildlife, and Native American heritage of Arizona, I use natural copper, laminated to hardwood, to capture the spirit of the Southwest. By using the process described below, the look of expensive solid copper artwork is reproduced in a lightweight and inexpensive form.
COPPER LAMINATED TO WOOD.....NOT SOLID COPPER
The first step is bonding a thin sheet of heat treated copper to 1/8" thick birch plywood. The design is cut using the tiny blades of a scroll saw, and then the entire piece, including the back and edges, is sprayed with multiple coats of clear polyurethane. This locks in the colors of the heat treated copper for the entire front surface.

FINISHED FOR INSIDE.....NOT OUTSIDE...USE
Display these switch plates individually as accent pieces in your home or office, or combine them with other decorative accessories, such as baskets or dried flowers, to create a stunning Southwestern wall or room. They are not recommended for exterior use, but can be displayed in protected (from direct sun and rain) outdoor locations, like under a porch.
