Description

This is a "Good For 25¢ In Trade" token from the "Deer Park Fair of 1970" held in Deer Park, Washington. The Deer Park Fair association introduced different types of tokens as a fund-raising venture to maintain and improve the Fairgrounds in Deer Park. Deer Park, please see the map below, was incorporated in 1908. It got its name when railroad surveyors saw deer grazing in the area. It was settled in 1889 when a railroad siding was built. Soon the Standard Lumber Company sawmill was established. Today near 4,000 folks call it home.
