Clancy’s PowerBox 12-volt power supply with Glow Cup has all of the features of the original Clancy’s PowerBox with the addition of a glow cup for lighting up those glow ice jigs. Just a few seconds in the glow cup will put a lasting glow on the ice jig.
Also featuring USB port for charging cell phone, cigarette plug for any cigarette plug item such as alligator clip accessory for piggy backing to locator in case locator battery goes dead, banana jacks for plugging in alligator clip items such as LED light strips. Jacks also used to clip on battery charger for charging battery. You could also strip pos/neg wires and insert the bare wire into the banana jack and then tighten the red/black nuts to make connection. UV LED light Glow Cup for lighting up glow jigs; well is deep for larger jigs. Cup has a clear lens on the inside to keep the hooks from catching on LEDs. The front of the box has 2 bright LED lights for setting up or tearing down your fish house in the dark. LED voltmeter shows remaining charge on battery.
This particular model also has 1/4 inch brass positive and negative posts for larger battery clip items or ring terminal items. Brass lug nuts are included for tightening to the ring clips.
All ports are switched and fused. The fuse box has LEDs next to the fuses which light up if a fuse blows. The fuses are for average use. You may need to go to a higher amperage fuse if appliances are requiring higher amperage. Switches are color-coded to identify which port they go to.
Recommended to use a 15 amp hour battery (NOT INCLUDED) available on another listing. This battery is double the size of a normal Vexilar battery so will last several days on a charge. This is a sealed lead acid battery. The use of lithium ion batteries is discouraged in cold weather. The cold tends to take away the charge capacity, plus there is no tapering off of the charge. You will have all or nothing. Also, lithium batteries are hard on electronics, especially those using LEDs.
