Here on offer is a charming antique spelter trinket box dating to c1900.

       This charming little box has a spelter body that has been cast into an oval form and stands securely on four small feet. The box is decorated with wonderful foliate designs around the outer wall. The top has a classical scene in shallow relief.

The hinged lid opens to reveal the fabric lined interior. The hinge is in good order. The interior retains the original pink floral cotton fabric, the fabric has deteriorated, please study the pictures. The base of the box has a small hole, it still displays well.

The base has the maker mark, it reads:

J.B.

The box is offered in good antique condition, it measures about 9.8cm by 5.9cm by 4.7cm.
