narrow channels with dense foam pads at one end to protect pencil leads from
breaking and the box from chips and cracks by sharp objects.
The hinges are actual snap-in
hinges instead of simple folded plastic, which means they will last much

The 2 clips are tight, but not overly tight which provides a secure
closure that is easy to open when needed.
The box can be thrown in bags, drawers and
the trunk of a car and will not open up on you.
