2x Curved Caravan Awning Rafters (Extra Curve)

The extra curved awning rafters feature additional curvature to further increase tension on the Roll Out Awning fabric. This more effectively reducing flapping and increasing the awning's structural strength. Key features include:

  • A rounded radius top has been added to protect the fabric on the awning;
  • The rafter has been thickened, adding strength; and
  • A new "anti-rattle" glass nylon molded rail end has been included;

Curved awning rafters help you overcome the two common caravanning problems - wind flap and water pooling. Taking only moments to fit in place, this curved roof rafter is designed to give your awning canopy a gentle curve enabling rain to run off easier, as well as keeping the fabric tight and reducing wind flap. No more restless sleep due to wind flaps! For best results, we recommend using them with our anti-flap kit or deflappers.

The telescopic style rafter extends up to 250cm and is suitable for Roll Out Awnings including Sunburst, Carefree, Dometic & A&E.

Features & Specifications:

  • This pack includes a pack of 2x Awning Rafters
  • Includes tightening knobs & mounting brackets (screws not included);
  • Extends from 1.5m to 2.5m;
  • Curve is approx. 80-100mm when extended (See notes on curvature below);
  • Powdercoated white aluminum with a rounded top profile;
  • Anti-Rattle Glass Nylon Moulded Bracket Inserts;

Installation Details:

  1. Attach the bracket to the RV with 2 screws into the desired position. This should be approx. 20mm below the awning fabric;
  2. Extend the awning out;
  3. Drill a 3/8" hole in the awning tube at an appropriate height;
  4. File / de-burr the hole in the barrel to ensure no damage to the fabric occurs when closing.

Our Notes:

  • Curvature is measured when extended and includes the distance from a flat surface to the top of the rafter (note the rafter is approx. 35mm tall). Variation will occur depending on the amount of extension. A small amount of variation can also occur in production.
  • Larger awnings would benefit from 2 or more rafters (We'd suggest 2 for awnings over 12' & 3 for awnings larger than 17').
  • This rafter is not suitable for Box Awnings such as Fiamma. Please see our separately listed Curved Rafters for Fiamma Awnings

Miss use or damage or change of mind by the customer is not covered under the manufacturers' warranty.

To complete a claim you may be required to return the item for inspection before the claim can be processed. If you have a problem with an item send us a message with a full description of the fault, your contact details and photos and we can assist you with your manufacturer claim.

Some of our items have a 3-year manufacturers warranty - such as the Coast Sunscreens and the Adco Covers. If an item has a 3-year warranty this will be clearly advertised in the product description.

What is your returns policy?

If your product is faulty it will be covered under warranty.

For change of mind returns, we have a thirty-day return policy, with some exclusions.
Returned products must be unused and in the original packaging.

Please note postage to WA (Outside of Perth), Remote & Regional TAS, Far North QLD and NT may incur additional shipping fees. Please check with us before purchasing if this may apply to you.

Our Courier services use the road network and while we dispatch daily it can take some time for items to be delivered from Sydney to FNQ, NT and WA. If you are in NT or WA, please allow up to 2 weeks delivery.

Postage for Returns

We offer free shipping to send items out to you. However, if you choose to return an item you during the 30 Change of Mind period you are required to post it back at your own cost.  This is no different to a bricks and mortar store. If you buy a top at the shops and then decide you dont want it, you will need to drive to the shop to return it, the shop wont drive to you. Items can not be returned without an RMA number. 

All eBay returns incure our 20% restocking fee. When you purchase through eBay you agree to this at the checkout. This is to cover the cost of checking the item for use or damage and the cost of the postage that was incured to send it to you. By purchasing this item you agree to these terms. 

Change of Address

No changes of address can be made once an item is picked and submitted to our courier or in transit. It is the buyers responsibility to put the correct address on their order. 

Please ensure your order is correct before submitting it. Note we are not able to check all messages in ebay before sending items and can not guarentee we will pick up messages about alternate delivery addresses.  If you have sent your item to the wrong address we recommend you contact the courier company quoting the tracking number and seek advice.
