We go beyond powering our switches up, as a method to test them. We personally have attached a computer to these switches & locally tested every single KVM port for mouse, Keyboard & video connectivity & activity. We have also remotely accessed the switch using the HP IP Console Viewer software, which can be downloaded for free, from the HP web site.
The unit allows one local user connected to the switch & 1 remote Digital IP users connected, using the HP IP console Viewer Software.
Unit includes a power cable.
Note: You will need to use a PS2 keyboard & PS2 mouse when you plug them directly to the switch, as the switch does not have USB ports for local keyboard & mouse.
