reinvented for a modern day audience and comes to DVD and BD for the
first time. After being marooned for five years on a remote island,
billionaire Oliver Queen returns home with a mysterious agenda and a
lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime in this
hard-hitting action series. After suffering unimaginable ordeals on
the island, the Oliver returns to Starling City a new man --
determined to right the wrongs of his father and sworn to bring
justice to those who've corrupted his city. But Oliver finds his
crusade complicated by his friends and family who are all affected
by his return.
After being marooned for five years on a remote island, billionaire
Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) returns home with a mysterious agenda
and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime in
this hard-hitting action series. Reinventing the DC Comics character
for a modern-day audience, the Arrow is not a superhero...but a hero
- every bit as dangerous as the criminals he's hunting.
Season 2:
Starling City has
been torn apart by the Undertaking, so the need for the hooded
vigilante- now known as The Arrow - is more urgent than ever in the
explosive second season of the hit action series based on DC Comics'
Green Arrow.
After retreating to the island on which he was once stranded, Oliver
Queen returns to protect his mother, sister and besieged company - ,
but comes to realize that allies and enemies have switched sides,
and the stranglehold of evil on family, friends and city is
diabolically linked to his fateful shipwreck.
A once-tight comrade-at-arms and a strength-enhancing, yet
mind-warping serum may prove to be the mightiest adversaries The
Arrow has ever encountered.
Can justice find its target in this breathlessly exciting,
23-episode Season Two? Or will all fall before the fury of
Deathstroke?
Season 3:
Determined to
right the wrongs of Starling City and sworn to bring justice to
those who have failed it, Oliver Queen (aka The Arrow) - with the
help of his iron-fisted right hand, John Diggle, the tech-savvy
Felicity Smoak and the newest member of the team, Roy Harper -
narrowly defeats the vengeful Slade Wilson, his onetime ally and
mentor on the island of Lian Yu. But like all wars, there are
casualties. Sacrificing herself for her children, Moira Queen falls
at the hand of Deathstroke, sending Oliver's sister, Thea, into
self-imposed exile with her biological father, Malcolm Merlyn. In
Season Three, Oliver faces an even greater threat, when another
lethal face emerges from his dark and tortured past – Ra's Al Ghul!
Uneasy alliances and rivalries will shift as Oliver faces his most
difficult challenge yet. Based on the characters from DC Comics,
ARROW is with Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John
Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, Katie Cassidy as
Dinah "Laurel" Lance, Paul Blackthorne as Quentin Lance, Colton
Haynes as Roy Harper, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, and John
Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn.
Season 4:
After defeating
his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with
longtime flame Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen (aka The Arrow) left
Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will
Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow,
and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to
assemble? Will military vet John Diggle, Oliver's sister Thea Queen,
and lawyer-turned-vigilante Laurel Lance be left to continue
Oliver's crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having
ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra's al
Ghul, is anyone really safe? The action-packed series continues with
new villains, new heroes and new challenges!
Season 5:
Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he
fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With Diggle back
in the military and Thea adamant about hanging up her hood as
Speedy,
Team Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity -- but they're no
longer the only vigilantes in town.
The Green Arrow's public defeat of Damien Darhk (guest star NEAL
McDONOUGH) at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of
masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful
inexperience makes them obstacles, rather than allies, in the field.
The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront
questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green
Arrow.
Season 6:
After last season’s emotional showdown between Oliver Queen and
Adrian Chase, the focus shifts into uncovering the fate of each and
every member of Team Arrow – with their futures left hanging
precariously in the balance. Having finally solidified and
strengthened his crime-fighting team, the Green Arrow might be
forced to rethink his relationships with his “family” in Season 6.
Season 7:
Following
Oliver Queen’s shocking decision to turn himself over the FBI and
reveal his identity as the Green Arrow to the public, Oliver has
spent the past five months in prison while his team was left behind
to protect Star City. In the wake of Ricardo Diaz’s escape, Oliver
has yet again turned into someone else inside Slabside Maximum
Security Prison. He is not the hero we once knew; Oliver has
isolated himself, avoided conflict, and ignored the enemies who have
taunted him since his arrival. He is determined to keep a low
profile to shorten his sentence for the sake of his family. But
Oliver’s limits will be tested when he and Team Green Arrow are
pitted against the most ruthless villains they have yet to face.
Oliver will be forced to seek redemption for his family, his team,
and his identity as both he and the team are left questioning: what
is the true definition of a hero?
Season 8:
As the Green
Arrow, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) protects his home, Star City,
with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey),
street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake
(Juliana Harkavy). Following the untimely arrival of godlike being
The Monitor (LaMonica Garett), Oliver left his home, his family, and
his team behind to take on his most challenging battle yet, knowing
the cost may be his life. But this time it’s not just his city he’s
seeking to protect – it’s the entire multiverse: everything that
ever was or ever will be. In the eighth and final season, Oliver’s
quest will send him on a journey where he is forced to look back at
his years as the Green Arrow and confront the reality of the
ultimate question: what is the true cost of being a hero?
