Offered For Sale is a Super Fine 100% Authentically Prehistoric Fishtail Benton Point that was found by Shannon Dotson at the famous Fox Field Fort Ancient Site Mason County Kentucky!!! All artifacts that are offered as ex: Dotson pieces were personal finds of his at the Fox Site and were found while working the tobacco fields between the years 1984 and 1986 when he was just boy and lived on the farm with his family as tenant farmers. For those unaware, the Fox Site it is known as one of the largest most concentrated Fort Ancient Sites ever unearthed producing tens of thousands of artifacts primarily from plowing between the early 1900's until the mid to late 1980's at which the field was put in to pasture and has not be plowed Since for more than 30 years now. This collection offered for auction was purchased in its entirety consisting of 328 pieces all of which had been stored in the bottom of a closet by the finder Shannon Dotson for the last 30+ years. As you can see displayed in the photos provided these are all original field found by amateur collector / field worker and many where never even cleaned off properly still showing signs of the original field dirt from where the were discovered many years ago!!!
