RARE NEAR EASTERN AMLASH POTTERY ASKOS BULL
A mold-formed askos modeled standing bull with a collar and four stocky feet, a cylindrical body with several textured ribs, a conical tail with a flared fill hole above, a small loop handle centered on the back, and a petite pouring spout. The spout takes the form of an abstract, head displaying incised eyes, a pair of horns, and a circular mouth.
Northern Iran - Datation circa 1400/1000 BC - very fine condition - one horn restored
