  • Comments: This PocketStation is installed with the Japanese version of Chocobo World (Final Fantasy VIII's mini-game) and contains a software ID of 211 (grade A), the highest rank needed to get the highest chance of getting the rarest items (among other things). It has a new battery installed. Please take note of 2 important things: 1) The 211 ID is a software update, not the actual hardware ID. 2) The Chocobo World save file and the 211 ID is only compatible with the Japanese version of Final Fantasy VIII. The English version of the game will not detect the contents of the memory card. Since this is a preowned/used item, it may or may not take a few goes of inserting and reinserting the PocketStation into the console before the console detects it (tip: If your game console doesn't detect the PocketStation the first time, don't push the PocketStation 100% fully into the port above the controller port. Leave a tiny gap, about 1mm and experiment until the console detects it.

    The PocketStation is a Memory Card peripheral by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation home video game console. Categorized by Sony as a combination of a Memory Card and a miniature personal digital assistant, the device features a monochrome liquid crystal display (LCD), infrared communication capability, a real-time clock, built-in flash memory, and a sound capability. To use the device's memory card functionality, it must be connected to a PlayStation through a memory card slot. It was released exclusively in Japan on January 23, 1999.

    Software for the PocketStation was typically distributed as extras for PlayStation games, included in the CD-ROM, enhancing the games with added features. Stand-alone software could also be downloaded through the PlayStation console. The software is then transferred to the PocketStation for use. A built-in infrared data interface allows direct transfer of data such as game saves between PocketStation units, as well as multiplayer gaming.

    Game software with special PocketStation functions include: Final Fantasy VIII (8), SaGa Frontier 2 (II), Legend of Mana (Seiken Densetsu), Rockman Complete Works, Metal Gear Solid: Integral, Grandia, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (Mega Man Legends Spinoff Game), Arc the Lad 3, etc...

Combined shipping is possible and the price will depend on the weight of the items. Generally, it may be possible to post 2 or 3 small and light items locally and internationally for the price of 1 shipping. Additionally, there is a maximum of $15 to $25 shipping/postage for Australian buyers. Please e-mail us in advance to confirm shipping prices for a multiple item order.

  • Goods are shipped and delivered during business days only (Monday to Friday). Goods cannot be shipped and delivered on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays. Delivery time estimates do not include weekends and public holidays. Bubble-wrap, hard cardboard or similar materials will be used as packaging to protect the item(s) against damage in the shipping process.
  • Delivery time estimates are based on after the parcel has been shipped by us, and not immediately after auction end nor the instant after payment.

Information for local (Australian) buyers

  • Delivery times for parcels within Australia is about 2 to 10 business days (depending on State).
  • For higher value or bulky items, we may, at our discretion, add signature on delivery. This means that on the day of parcel delivery, a resident of the household is required to be present. If nobody is at home at the time of attempted delivery, the parcel will be stored at your local post office and you will be given a notification card. You can then pick up the item at your convenience.

Information for international (non-Australian) buyers

  • Delivery times for parcels heading overseas is approximately 35 days. For some countries, it may take a little longer. Occasionally, the customs house in your country may also hold onto overseas parcels for a longer period of time and delay delivery. We are not responsible if this happens so please check with the relevant authorities in your country to determine the current status of the parcel.
  • Parcels will be shipped via international air mail or express and come with online tracking numbers.

An Unpaid Item Case will be automatically opened if there is no payment or contact after 7 days. We can extend the payment deadline and delay shipping of goods for the purposes of combined shipping.

Sales are final and non-returnable unless the item is significantly different than described (in the listing).
