This VERY UNUSUAL needle case measures approx  5” long, including the tassel thread ends.

It is made of wood. The wood is covered with fine silvered wire and wound thread...both ends having thread tassels.The case wire ,in the center and the ends are decorated with blown glass silvered beads..A center bead is broken. The center silvered wire holds both ends together,when opened.

It was found in Barcelona Spain.

It is in original condition. The inside in very clean..as if it was never used.Some of the silvered wound thread decoration is loose ...mainly on one end.The red wound thread is bright and beautiful..
