Offered here is a brass keychain or watch fob type medal commemorating the California centennial celebration (100 years of statehood) in 1948-1950.  The medallion part is about 1" across with a thick loop at the top for attachment to a watch fob or keychain.  The obverse has the state seal and "California Centennial Celebration 1948-1949-1950" around the outer edge.  The reverse shows a San Francisco cable car.  Looks like this was kept as a pocket item as there is a bit of wear to it, like a worn coin; see illustrations.  However, all the lettering and devices are clear and readable.  Nice item for collectors of vintage California or statehood related items.    See illustrations.
