2001-02 TOPPS HERITAGE HOCKEY
VINTAGE RETAILER PROMOTIONAL SALES SHEET and ORDER FORM
FEATURING MORE THAN 10 CARD IMAGES AND A FULL CHECKLIST

Topps only did Heritage Hockey for three years before they lost the license, and collectors remember those sets fondly.  This lot features a promotional piece and order form from the middle release of those three years and are an absolutely stunning piece of hockey card memorabilia.

When folded, the promo sheet is the standard 8.5x11.  The front of the piece has the Topps Heritage logo bold at the top, the tag line "Clearing the Ice for a Classic Look" and images of six cards - Jose Theodore, Ron Francis, Martin Havlat, Teemu Selanne, Adam Deadmarsh, and Tommy Salo.  The back has a well-presented full checklist for the series, including all of the insert, game-used, and autograph cards.  The Rookie Cards #138-157 are all marked "TBD" as even in those days they wanted to have as long as possible to choose the rookie lineup for each set.

You unfold the piece to unveil its full 11x17 size.  This interior showcases images of five more cards, this time all insert cards: League Leaders (Martin Broduer and Patrick Roy), All Star (Nicklas Lidstrom), Captain's Cloth Jersey Card (Paul Kariya), Heritage Relic (Brian Leetch), and a Heritage Autograph (Johan Hedberg).  The rest of the interior is taken up with information about the pack-out of the set, including the charming fact that they were including a stick of gum in every pack.  If memory serves this gum was shrink-wrapped and tasted a bit of lemon Pledge...

This would make an interesting conversation piece if hung in a card or sports room, or it would really shine as the header in a binder with a complete set of the cards inside.  You won't find too many of these around anymore, as most of them would have been given away or discarded when the set was ordered or came out.

You will also receive the original product order form.  Back in those days you couldn't order online, you had to either mail or call/fax in your orders.  This sheet is on a piece of sepia-colored 8.5x11 paper and repeats much of the information from the promo sheet.  We are including it for its uniqueness and for completeness's sake.
