*NOTE TO EBAY - THESE BOXES ARE EMPTY AND DO NOT CONTAIN ANY RESTRICTED AMMUNITION COMPONENTS*

Up for your consideration is a two-piece set of empty replica WWII 50 ROUND CAL. .38 SPECIAL TRACER MILITARY CONTRACT BOXES with a Remington Arms label.

During the early part of 1943, the U.S. Navy requested the development of a tracer cartridge for the S&W .38 Special revolver. The round was to be used for emergency signaling purposes by aircrew personnel that had been issued that sidearm. Remington Arms was given the contract, which led to the production of a cartridge with a 120 grain bullet by June 1943. Then later, beginning in early 1944, a 158 grain version went into production to provide improved performance, continuing until the summer of 1945. In all, approximately 5 million rounds of Cal. .38 Special tracer rounds were produced, primarily for U.S. Navy use.

Each single purchase is for two unassembled cartons with a Remington Arms 120 Grain Cal. .38 Special Tracer label. The lot numbers are hand stamped on the labels prior to shipping, either matching my original box, or if you prefer, I can match the lot number of a spam can or crate that you may have. The cartons will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions. I had a lot of these made, so if you want multiple sets, just change the auction quantity before you click on the "Buy It Now" button.

Check my feedback and buy with confidence. I prefer paypal, and payment is expected within 3 days of purchase. Shipping to US addresses is free. I will ship internationally, but there will be extra shipping charges involved, and they will be added by eBay during the checkout process. I can also combine shipping for multiple items on international orders. If you have a lot number preference, then please send details to me on the eBay checkout page, or send me an email.
