A much more rare volume by Abbot, who has several Civil War histories.
Blue cloth boards, red lettering on front cover, golden to spine; stains and light soiling to spine, stains to rear board. The corners are sharp, but show some wear. Internally clean and unmarked, save for residue of tag to front paste-down. The book is solid, binding is tight, some age tanning to pages, mostly at edges. Almost every one of these titles was published in 1891, as I think this one is. But, the printing is not sharp and may appear as 1891 or 1893? date.
A very rare find in surprisingly great condition for 130 years.
