Plant description

A species of plant from the Apiaceae family. It occurs almost all over Europe and in the north and south-west of Asia.

Properties

- contains tannins, organic acids, saponins, essential oils and flavonoids (rutin and quercetin)

- in folk medicine it is used externally to treat hard to heal wounds and varicose veins

- orally in the form of infusions, macerates and juice - in pulmonary diseases.
