IMPORTANT! Washed fabric cannot be returned. Washed fabric is considered damaged goods.

--------------------------------------------------------------

If you choose to wash your 100% cotton fabric before cutting out a project, these are some of the things you need to know.

This is 100% cotton fiber fabric; therefore, washing, drying, and/or ironing may cause fabric shrinkage.

Exposed cut edges of woven fabric will fray when washed. However, here are a few of the recommended methods to minimize fraying when pre-washing:

·        Hand wash and line dry

·        Serge / zigzag the cut edges before washing

·        Put the fabric in a mesh laundry bag to wash and dry (like you would use for delicate fabrics, such as pantyhose).

Do not wash with harsh detergents or chemicals (like bleach).

To avoid color bleeding wash each colored fabric separately.

To press out wrinkles, mist fabric with water. Use a clothes iron set to cotton setting. If your iron has a steam option, you can use that instead of misting the fabric before ironing. Use a gentle up and down motion, not a heavy dragging motion across fabric. Clothes starch, used as the manufacture recommends, can be used instead of water.

REMEMBER - once you wash the fabric it is considered damaged goods and it cannot be returned.
