- IPS V2/AGS-101 Screen - Original Game Boy Advance SP (AGS-001) came with a front-lit screen. If played under poor lighting conditions, the player will have a hard time seeing the screen. However, with IPS V2 or a late model AGS-101 back-lit LCD screen, the screen is much brighter and more colorful than the original screen. LCD screen is much like a modern-day screen that you'll find on your cell phone or laptop. A back-lit screen also allows players to play under poor lighting conditions.
