It not only works as a continuity tester, but equally as important, shows you exactly what kind of network cable you have and indicates any potential problems via the LED's. The tester consists of a main Master unit and a detachable Remote unit, each of which have an Ethernet and coaxial jack. The unit is powered with a 9-volt battery (not included).
