Ready for immediate shipping is an AKAI Digital Tape Index Counter Assembly complete with mounting screws and the rubber belt P/N406168 that fits a AKAI 4000DS reel to reel tape player/recorders (it will likely fit several other 4000 series player/recorders -  Before ordering, please research/verify this Part Number MC479968 fits and P/N406168 will work with your 4000 series AKAI reel to reel tape player/recorder).
This tape counter assembly is clean, it turns and resets perfectly and was removed from a tape deck player/recorder that appeared to have been used infrequently. This tape counter operates flawlessly in all visual and mechanical functions and will make recording and dubbing more fun and less trial and error.
All the mounting hardware PLUS the belt is included and there’s nothing to keep you from putting up with that tape counter that just clicks on the same numbers or doesn’t even move at all. This item is ready to install, and is easy to access to make your machine perform as it was intended to.
