This is a very unique PRE-PRODUCTION "SAMPLE/PROTOTYPE" bat produced as part of a "sample set" to show potential buyers. It is believed only 100 or fewer of these "sample bats" exist and were produced in 1996/1997 based on the Authentication Code #ALST97100 engraved on the bat. The bat is engraved with the unique "000 of 5000" identification.
This beautiful custom designed wood laser engraved baseball bat features the laser engraved 1997 MLB All-Star Game "MOCK ROSTER" engraved replica signatures (not all were actual All-Stars - SEE BELOW) along with the 1997 Major League Baseball / Cleveland Indians / Jacobs Field secondary 1997 All-Star logo and "The 1997 All-Star Game - Cleveland, Ohio - July 8, 1997" engraved in the sweet spot of the bat.
