This is old growthPaulowiniaour premium lightweight this beauty is just under 3 lbs this is a highly resonant vintage tone woods we’ve been storing for 15 years and was 20 years old when we bought it. This will make a killer precision bass. This color is BLACK ebony. About JVGuitars Iv been painting cars since 1970 my first car a 1964 VW and have painted dozens of dozens of cars leading up to custom high end cars ( those were $6500 back in the late 1980's for a 912 stripped and put back to glass - black one example) over 30 years Iv been a Luthier since 1992 with the car painting background since I was 14. This P BASS BODY is built to std CNC program but then I do my interpritation hand shaping to vintage spec. Like with any other builders body's parts can vary in size by a few MM between the body and fitting a neck often it is required of the guitar builder to “fit” the neck to a body and that is done by the assembler at time of building this is nothing new this is why Fender would sand neck or pocket use shims and so on to fine tune adjust and or fit , this prep work is to be expected and should your neck or body require you the builder to make the final fit this is ordinary and not a defect and is not returnable for such reasons. This is a no nonsense listing, WHAT YOU SEE IS AN EXAMPLE of WHAT YOU WILL GET ... the body seen IS NOT THE BODY YOU GET as it was sold you get a similar one unique unto itself no 2 exactly the same all that said

allow up30 working days for me to make the body - prep it -apply  Fullerplast sealer tinted yellow then primer coat white then think skin nitro lacquer black - then aged LIKE seen similar JVGuitars takes artistic license this method of nitrocellulose instrument thin skin lacquer finishing is true to the old school way it was done by "Leo's Boys "back in the 50s-60sabout 1968 they " F " swiched over to poly for much of the finishing we do find the ocassional exception buy not often.
