Open C-Tuning

This auction is for a Banjo Chord & Fretboard Instructional Poster in Open C Tuning. Open C tuning (cGCEG) is often used with travel or shorter scale banjos like the Goldtone Plucky, Dean Backwoods Mini Travel Banjo BKS, or the Ozark Banjourine. It's basically the same tuning as a standard 5 string banjo (gDGBD) but tuned up to a 'C'. It would be like putting a capo on the 5th fret. The chord forms / shapes are similar to the G tuning but you get different a tone. For example, when you play what would be a 'C' shape on a normal 5 string Open G banjo, you would get an 'F' with this tuning. 

This is a great tool for players using this style banjo listed above. The 11" x 17" instructional guide is nice to hang on the wall wherever you practice for easy reference, instead of flipping through a book. This chart includes the notes of the banjo displayed on the fretboard, chords for this tuning and commonly used right hand rolls. This information can be found in books, but rarely on one easy to read chart!
