Here on offer is a rare vintage Edward VIII gilt medal to commemorate what should have been his coronation in 1937.

This lovely medal has a portrait of Edward VIII in profile on the front. The back displays the Royal Coat of Arms, in the centre, it reads:

BIRTH  23  JUNE  1894

P. OF WALES 13 JULY 1911

ACCESSION 20 JAN 1936

CORONATION

MAY 12TH 1937

The medal is suspended on a red, white and blue ribbon with a gilt pin.

This great medal is offered in good vintage condition, it measures about 10cm by 3.8cm in diameter.

A good addition to a themed collection.

Please see my pictures for the details of the condition.
