OO, Hornby, Seacow Wagon (16 pockets)

This is to convert a Hornby Seacow wagon, which doesn't have an NEM pocket, instead a tension lock moulded to the an arm. This conversion is reasonably straight forward, takes about 10 minutes per end, re-assembly is a little fiddly.

The pocket is 3D printed in Black resin, and can with a small amount of work can be fitted to the arm on the wagon.

There are 16 pockets on one sprue, this will do 8 wagons.

- Instructions -

A sharp craft knife/cutters, needle files, superglue, and a screwdriver.

I recommend a Kadee 17 for this wagon.

Simply cut the arm at the crease on the underside as the arm angles downwards.

Clean up end of arm, and check the fit on the channel of the NEM converter, this should be reasonably tight.

When happy remove, and apply a very small amount of super glue to the pocket, make sure the arm is nice and level and pushed home in the channel of the pocket.

When dry, file just behind the pocket where  the arm has been attached (See photo) and check a coupling tension lock or kadee, to make sure it fits and holds correctly.

Then re-assemble your wagon and repeat on the other bogie.

We don't recommend, older / bigger couplings, or couplings not made RTR manufacturers. All converters are checked before dispatch with new type Kadee/Hornby/Bachmann tension locks
