What is Turkish Exfoliating Bath Mitt “Kese” ?

“Kese” is a traditional exfoliating bath glove with a coarse texture that has been used in Turkish baths, or “Hamams”, for several centuries.

It is renowned in the East for it is ability to both deeply cleanse and exfoliate the skin; removing dead and dry skin cells from the surface of the body. With regular use (every 10-30 days) the well cleansed skin breathes better, feels healthier and is smoother to the touch.

Kese is also effective in reducing the incidence of ingrown hair follicles and increases blood circulation when used for an invigorating effect.

O- Silk Bath Glove Elasticated Wrist (Natural Cocoon Silk) THIN

Suitable for sensitive skins, neck area and face. This is a gentler and see through mitt made of cocoon silk. However, it is still very effective. Be very gentle when applying the product to face as face tissue is more sensitive. Don't apply it on the same area repeatedly to prevent irritation. If you use this product on your body, avoid using it on your face for hygiene reasons.

There are slight variations in the colour of the Cocoon silk products since they are natural and not dyed.

They can be in cream, beige and pinky shades and very often feature imperfections that look like marks/dots, bobbles, thread lines or coloured lines on the material. D- Silk Exfoliating Face Finger Mitt (Natural Cocoon Silk) THIN

This is a gentler and see through mitt made of cocoon silk designed to be used on the face. Only large enough for your two or three fingers to exfoliate your face effectively. Suggested frequency of use every 10 days.

What is Turkish Bath “Hamam” ?

Turkish bath is an ancient steam bath that is known for its unique relaxing Eastern atmosphere. Typically, finished in marble with intricate ceramic reliefs it is equipped with unlimited hot and cold water on tap delivered to the body at the correct temperature for each stage of the bathing ritual by way of a silver or copper bowl.

Historically, Turkish baths were significant meeting places where Turkish people socialised, played instruments, danced, looked for brides/grooms for their children and even discussed business.
