Back in 2002 I released a limited edition of 250 prints run off from a painting of a photo of mine that I commissioned Ian Walmsley to produce. It is of 40012 "Aureol" departing Holyhead on a Manchester bound service during June 1981. Within a year or so the first 200 sold but the final 50 were never printed. Following recent interest I have decided to release the remaining 50 prints to raise funds for the Class Forty Preservation Society, specifically the 40135 "Crankshaft Appeal".
This time round they are slightly larger. The image measures 17.5x12.5 Inches, the overall size including the background is 20x16 Inches which suits a standard frame size. The version in this listing has a white background. Another listing covers a version with a black background.
No more than 50 prints in total will be produced.
Printed on high quality fine art paper they will be supplied rolled in a tube with a certificate of authenticity. Advances in printing technology has made it possible for me to retain the same price as when first released but with cheaper postage and packing saving £3.00 on the original price!
If you missed out last time and want to support the CFPS, get in quick and purchase one before they have all gone!
Thanks.
