About the Book: Jim Meeker came down from Montana to run Texas cattle--only to find that Hoppy's Bar-20 ran the water. So when a trio of snake-mean rustlers started themselves a cattle war, the powder was primed, the guns cocked, and Hoppy was smack in the middle. So it's friend against friend, brother against brother, gun against blazing gun. Time's running out, and the range is red with blood.

Fans familiar with the polished and polite on-screen version of this indelible Western hero may be taken aback at their first encounter with his literary predecessor. In Clarence E. Mulford’s wildly popular series of novels and short stories, Hopalong Cassidy is rough around the edges, dangerous, prone to vulgarity, and usually pretty grumpy – but he’s a quintessential cowboy through and through. His nickname 'Hopalong' is the result of having a wooden leg, which causes him to walk with a little hop.

Condition: Binding - fine, new and unread, only removed from the shrinkwrap to add the signature and take pictures, the bottom page edges have three spots where the gold looks a little different, maybe the page edges were a little rough there (see picture). Dust jacket - none, as issued.
