This book focuses on the Locomotive side of one of the UK's Premier Diesel Depots, Cardiff Canton. 

Partly using the authors experience during time working at Canton it covers the history of the depot from opening to Diesel Traction in September 1964 to closure in May 2004, the fleets it was responsible for maintaining during this period and typical duties covered by them. Included are also a number of images of the staff during their normal working life and an up to date view of the depot today under new ownership.
