Newest CHRISTIA .....MARBLE:

This seed is new - and variations of the seeds will exist for you. You may be able to get offspring, unlike the 100% parent, may have some natural mutations.

But if anyone likes to win a strange leaf from the seed, you can go ahead. *

"Christia Marble" or "Marble Mountain Butterfly ”Caused by the inbreeding of this genus in Thailand. So it has the lines on the body, unlike the male protagonist father forever like "Mountain butterfly" (Christia obcordata) and friends clearly the children of it are still the same. While the size of the leaves is smaller than the mountain butterflies By the color of the young and old leaves when we look at it will get a different mood.

The ground leaves of the marble butterfly are green. But the pattern on the red-brown leaves spread like a color from the center line, similar to marble. Some leaves may only have a stroke, even when the mature leaves are fully light. When the leaves turn yellow It will help drive the pattern to be more beautiful. When leaves change color all the time The marbled butterfly will be more striking in your garden. You will never feel bored throughout the planting.

In addition, when the wind blows, the leaves flutter like a tiny butterfly. We therefore recommend that you plant together as a group. The mood is like a maple leaf. But the canopy is not as tight as Marble-patterned mountain butterfly is a shrub 2-3 meters high and long life for many years. Growers should find crutches or tied with ropes to support the trunk from breaking. It is a plant that loves the filtered sun, if it is not light, the leaves are not beautiful but do not like the heat. When growing, they prefer well-drained loamy soils. Do not lack watering.

Unlike the purple/green and red butterflies, the Marble butterfly has the unique patterned leaves just like the wings of a butterfly. It is pleasing to the eyes to see its pattern change from a single maroon stripe on a bright green leaf to deeper color stripe pattern as it grows. The yellow-red color of the mature leaves is also amazing.

Christia Marble butterfly wing plan - is a terrific, rare tropical from southeast Asia with leaves resembling butterflies in flight!  This unusual species has variegated, bat-shaped foliage in eye-catching shades of Green and purple stripes.  Despite its exotic appearance, it's one of the easiest plants to grow!  Freshly-picked seeds are rarely seen for sale.

The Christia Marble butterfly wing plan grows about 4 feet tall, with slender, arching stems from which the unusual leaves are suspended.  These striped "wings" are 2 to 4 inches wide.  They tend to fold downward at night, and open up during the day!  When the plant is mature, it starts making small, whitish blooms along the tops of the shoots.  The plant is reportedly used as a medicinal herb, but i grow it strictly for its cool-looking foliage!

The Christia Marble butterfly wing plant is a tropical species that tolerates warm conditions well.   Fortunately it grows great indoors.  It likes bright shade or filtered sunlight.  It WILL need protection from strong sun exposure.  Grow in a rich moist soil mix that is kept evenly moist (but not soggy).  Over about 40% humidity is recommended.  In the right conditions, it is an easy, low-maintenance plant.

It is often confused with the Christia Vespertilionis/Cespertilionis or Obcordata - the Red Wing Butterfly / Bat Wing / Bat grass
