Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this delightful Omas Princess Blue Royale Celluloid Fountain Pen, which comes with an OMAS presentation box (including outer) and pouch. The pen has been carefully used and is presented in overall lovely condition.
OMAS require no introduction and since their sad demise in January 2016, the hunger from fans and collectors for great examples of their writing instruments has increased dramatically! The company was founded by Armando Simoni and the full name was Officina Meccanica Armando Simoni, abbreviated to OMAS.
The Princess was the smallest offering in range, with it measuring only 10cms when capped. They have an elegance and simplicity that only a manufacturer like OMAS could have achieved.
The barrel and cap are crafted from Blue Royale celluloid, which has myriad of tones. The trim is gold-plated. The greek key design can be found on the cap and the year marking of 1994 is on the grip section. The cap top is finished off with its blue silk tassle!
The pen features a piston filling mechanism, so bottled ink is your choice here. It's fitted with a 14k medium nib.
