This version is for the Hasselblad 200/2000 series. There is NO leaf shutter and thus is not compatible with the 500 series.
When mounted on my 203FE, there is a small amount of play so I put a piece of artist tape around the base, and now it is rock solid. You may remove it without any issues if there is no play when mounted on your camera. The play does not affect image quality.
