Each year the Royal canadian mint puts out a prooflike set. This 7 coin set is the special edition version of the 2002 PL set. This set commemorates the 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne.  There IS a P mint mark on the obverse of 5 of the coins--but not on the loonie or twoonie.  This P mark was placed on the coins because the mint developed a multi-ply plated steel planchet (coin blank). Up to and including the year 2000 the PL sets included some coins that were minted in 100% nickel. There are special reverse logos on the 50 cent piece and the quarter in this set
