    The Chicco BabeCare Easy Tech is a really clever piece of kit. It fits on almost every car seat on the market and is designed to give parents extra peace of mind. The system attaches to the harness of the car seat (or the vehicle seat belt) and connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone. It then alerts you if you have left your little one in the car or if they have been sitting for longer than 30 minutes which is particularly important when they are very small.

    When you receive the unit, it’s simple to set up – download the app from your app store (Android and Apple compatible) and set up a family account. You can them enter 3 contact numbers for the app to contact in case of an emergency. Next, scan the included QR code to link the device to your phone and you are ready to go. Clip the unit to the harness on the car seat and clip the unit closed. This is now set, and you are ready to go. Once you reach your destination, when you are unharnessing your little one, simply pop the unit open to deactivate.

    If you leave the car without taking your little one with you, which is so easy to do in today’s hectic, distracting busy lifestyles we all lead, the first level alarm will activate on your phone – you have 40 seconds to deactivate it and you can then go and pick up your little one. If you don’t hear the alarm on your phone or don’t deactivate within 40 seconds the unit will send an alert text message to the 3 emergency contacts in your phone with your latest GPS position.
