A  Superb Antique, Solid Silver Old English Hanoverian Pattern, Tea or Sorbet Spoon, by Charles Boyton 2. Assay Hallmarked, London 1893.

This spoon is in excellent condition for its age and usage, showing virtually wear. It has good clear hallmarks, and a scrolled monogram on the top of the stem, which looks to be"PG?". The spoon would make a great collectors item, and it would also make a lovely wedding, christening or birthday present, or even as a nice gift for someone special.
It is 5-1/4" 13.5cm in length, and the silver weight is; 19g.

Important, please read:
These spoons are described as a tea, sorbet or pudding spoons, as that was their designated usage when they were made in the 17th.18th. or 19th. century, unlike our modern equivalents, which are different in size to the Georgian & Victorian times, Please refer to the dimensions above. Teaspoons were usually smaller, around 4 - 4-1/2" or maybe 5".

PS Silver is very difficult to photograph because it's reflection picks up the photographer, hence any tinging. Also, these items are not new, most are over 100 years old, some 200 and over, so will have some defects, unless they had a charmed life.
