The 2020(S) “Struck At San Francisco” Silver Eagles represent a moment in time that the world was aligned with the goal of overcoming the pandemic. In the final months of 2020, the US Mint’s production of American Silver Eagles is still struggling to keep up with collector demand due to production slow-downs brought on by the pandemic. In an attempt to keep up with collector demand, the US Mint authorized production of 1-oz American Silver Eagle bullion coins at the San Francisco Mint. Typically, this bullion production would be handled by the West Point Mint.
