Good Evening, What I am listing tonight Is a scarce 8 x 10 photograph of B29, later named "Next Objective" autographed by 4 of the the crew. This Is a photograph when the plane first arrived on Tinian, security was high and this picture should not have been taken. The B29 "Next Objective" was one of 15 B29's especially built to carry and drop an Atomic Bomb. The Crew photo has been autographed, hand signed on the photo by the Co-Pilot, Locke Easton, Mike Bohon, Radar, Lee Palmert, Radio, and Frank Wimer, Navigator. This photograph was reproduced from the original negative.

With the autographed photograph you will receive copies (not originals ) of  combat duty records. This Is a very early photograph, the number on the plane had not been changed yet.

I have attended all 509th Reunions since and Including 1990, I am a 509th Historian, Honorary Member, and Reunion Chairman for 16 of the 509th Reunions.

The Devore Crew flew four (4) combat Missions over Japan, each time carrying a 10,000 'Fatman" bomb loaded with high explosive (torpex). On July 26th the crew flew the B29 "Jabbit III" Unfortunately the crew was denied their Air Medal because they aborted a mission on August 8th 1945, due to loss of oil In number 4 engine, forcing the plane to return to Tinian with their bomb.

These are not  scans, reprint, or forgeries, the autograph Is original and signed on the photo. you will also receive a page from our book "The 509th Remembered" the historical data on the plane and crew. Copies of our book are available on our site of the same name. .

                                     Good Luck, happy bidding!!!
