From the late 1800s through the 1930s, Halloween parties geared toward adults were very popular. Beginning in 1909 and continuing through 1934, Dennison Manufacturing Company entered the Halloween party niche with their colorful party idea books called "Bogie Books." The first Bogie Book was issued in 1909, the second in 1912 and from that time on, an annual issue was released every year through 1934, with the exception of a brief production interruption during World War I. Each book was filled with colorful examples of party favors, Halloween costumes, decorating ideas, party games, spooky poems and stories.

Originally published in 1925, this Bogie Book features the following ideas with suggestions for planning, decorating and preparing a party that won't soon be forgotten:
